Three words that do not usually sit together: doctor, poet, builder. I have stopped trying to choose.
Medicine is the longest thread. I am in my third year of MBBS at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College in Barishal — deep enough in to know how much I still do not know, and far enough along that patients have started to feel like people rather than chapters. Pathology, pharmacology, and the slow habit of looking properly before speaking.
The writing came first, though. I have been putting Bengali poetry on paper since long before I could take a history, and a novel has been quietly forming for a while now. I write about travel, about medicine from the inside, and about the ordinary business of being twenty-something in Bangladesh.
Then there is the building. I run DocDev, where I make websites and online presence for doctors who deserve to be found by the people looking for them. Fay, Bangladesh is the larger thing I am walking towards — the work I intend to be known for eventually.
In between all of it: the gym most days, a camera on most trips, and a stubborn belief that discipline in one room shows up in every other room.
